2 Epic Weeks in Vancouver B.C.

Vancouver is a beautiful and diverse city located on the west coast of Canada

There are places you visit for the first time in your life and you go, “I could live here, I could definitely live here”. Vancouver has that vibe.

Vancouver, named after the explorer and captain of the Royal Navy George Vancouver, is a west coast seaport surrounded by mountains and at the heart of it, a bustling metropolis.

Vancouver is a well known filming site and the gateway to one of the best playgrounds in the snow, Whistler Blackcomb and there are plenty of things to see and do during a two-week visit. Here’s a sample itinerary for an epic two weeks in Vancouver:

Week 1:

Day 1-2: Start your trip with a visit to Stanley Park, one of the city’s most iconic and beautiful destinations. Explore the park’s beaches, hiking trails, and seawall before stopping by the Vancouver Aquarium.

Day 3-4: Take a day trip to the nearby city of Victoria on Vancouver Island, where you can see the famous Butchart Gardens, visit the Royal BC Museum, and explore the city’s charming downtown area.

Day 5-7: Spend the next few days exploring the diverse neighborhoods of Vancouver, including trendy Yaletown, the historic Gastown, and the vibrant Chinatown. Be sure to check out the city’s world-class museums, art galleries, and food scene.

Week 2:

Day 8-9: Take a day trip to Whistler, a scenic mountain town located just a few hours north of Vancouver. Go skiing or snowboarding in the winter, or enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the summer.

Day 10-11: Visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a thrilling attraction that takes you high above the forest canopy. Be sure to check out the Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure while you’re there.

Day 12-13: Explore the Granville Island Public Market, a bustling marketplace filled with fresh produce, artisanal foods, and handmade crafts. Take a boat tour of False Creek while you’re there.

Day 14: End your trip with a visit to the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, which houses one of the world’s most significant collections of First Nations art and artifacts.
